TYPICAL SECTION DETAIL BY QUALITY TIMBER GRILLES
NOTES:
Attached sketch shows detail of set up for vertical slat bulkhead grille. Sketch is indicative only; all dimensions are variable.
Slats would be 20mm deep x 15mm wide x nominated height. Spaces @ 15mm [50% flow space]. Long run of grille would come in sections with seamless joins on face.
Rear support batons in matt black 19mm x 19mm top and bottom. Builder will need to provide fixing batons inside opening, top and bottom at 39mm setback from face.
Mitred returns on external corners finishing on full slat. Prior to construction each slat is stained to colour match and/or sealed to match surroundings 2 coats all around, 3 coats on face using Bona Traffic 2k water-based polyurethane, sheen level to match veneer. Mould retardant is added to final coats.
