*ARDEX is not cheap.
ROOFING
Ardex Butynol is commonly used on lightweight flat roofs. A Tanked Roof generally requires Performance Solution, meaning that you will have to provide additional drawing details, for instance:
- 1:5/1:10 Section Detail on Roof Penetration
- Callout Plan with indication of Roof Falls (Gradient and Distance)
- Detail of Drainage Strategy
- Annotation to specify relevant products used for the Roof construction with additional “OR APPROVED SIMIALR” note since the builder may select cheaper alternative products.
Discuss with the Consultant and Building Surveyor to configure the best drainage solution (e.g. overflow, downpipe, fall…)
